OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To provide an environment in which all are invited to know Christ, encouraged to grown in Him, and to experience the fullness of His kingdon.

PROVIDING AN ENVIRONMENT IS NOT CREATING ONE
Our mission statement at Sugaw Creek is to provide an environment where all will know Christ, grow in Christ and experience the fullness of the Kingdom. Providing an environment is just making space. It is making space in our lives for God to create the presence of his Kingdom. He is the one who lays the foundation. He is the one who determines its measurements. He is the one who levels it. He is the one who lays the cornerstone. Our mission at Sugaw Creek is to provide the environment but God is the creator.

WE ARE THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH
The mission of the church is not a program or particular ministry. The mission of the church is not the building, grounds or physical resources. The mission of the church is our lives. We are the environment that is provided for God to create. Through us, God can bring people to know Christ, grow in Christ and experience the fullness of the kingdom. When we are not present in the building it is just a building. When we are not gathered in worship it is just a room. It becomes a sanctuary when we enter it. It becomes a church when we are present.

THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH IS FIRST OF ALL AN OFFERING
God can not create the environment unless the church is willing to provide the space. The first step in accomplishing our mission is offering our lives to Christ. If we are filled up with the world, there is no room for God to create. If we are filled up with our own fears, limited perspective and knowledge and faith in our own abilities, than there is no room for God to create.
